Appointments

Consultations are by appointment and can be booked in person or over the telephone during opening hours.

Emergency Appointments

Emergency consultations are intended for genuinely urgent and/or serious conditions of sudden onset which cannot wait for the next available appointment. Please telephone 01277 651702 as soon as you can to arrange an appointment. At busy times there may be a delay in answering you call, please be patient and try again. If all appointments are taken and your medical need is urgent, please supply the receptionist with brief details and she will endeavour to fit you in to one of the emergency non-appointment slots during the session.

Telephone Calls

Telephone calls to the doctor can be put through after morning surgery; it is not possible to speak to the doctor whilst he is with a patient. Please call between 12:00 and 12:30 after surgery has ended and we will endeavour to put you straight through to the doctor.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly. Our reception staff will ask you the nature of your nurse appointment request as we are happy to give you longer with our nurses than our standard 10 minute appointment. If it is a delicate or private matter – just tell them ‘its private’ and they will happily book you a 20 minute appointment.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
